4 Days Tour From Fes To Merzouga Desert Erg Chebbi
DAY 1 : Fes – Medilt – Todgha Gorges
Todgha Gorges ( a series of limestone river canyons. Most visitors enjoy hiking and passing by the nomad who comes down to the gorge to get water) will be the destination after having breakfast in Fez.
You will travel through Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco), which is the direction of many Moroccan people to enjoy the snow, and Cedar Forests ( located in Azrou). Cèdre Gouraud Forest is where you will be able to see trees climbed by the Berber apes. You may take some beautiful pictures of such a wilderness.
The trip will be resumed through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the amazing landscapes of Medilt until you arrive in a small town, near to Errachidia city, called Rich
The famous Imilchil is another town we will travel through before, by the evening, we reach Todgha Gorges.
DAY 2: Todgha Gorges – Merzouga
On the second day from the trip, we will head to Merzouga leaving Todgha Gorges (consist of a series of limestone river canyons). In your journey, you will travel through Tinjad, Jorf, and Erfoud is considered the entrance of the Shara Desert. Before we reach Merzouga, we will pass through the Oasis of Tafilalt ( the largest oasis in Morocco). In Merzouga, you spend the night.
DAY 3: 4×4 and Camel Tour
In day number three, the direction will be Erg Chebbi. You will be able to visit a Berber house, enjoy listening to some Gnawa music (has a rich repertory ancient African Islamic spiritual religious songs. It combines ritual poetry and traditional music). Berber nomads will be pleased to have (serving the well known Saharan mint tea) while you are exploring the area. lunch will be back in Merzouga. After taking a short while to rest, camels will be ready to ride in the sand dunes. After watching the fascinating sunset from high dunes. You will enjoy the night camp in the middle of the Sahara desert while you are listening to berber music, and gazing at endless stars in the sky.
DAY 4: Merzouga – Fes
After the wonderful night, It would be amazing to enjoy the sunrise in the Sahara desert (in the early morning) before you ride the camels back to Merzouga.
The tour will be resumed to Fez when you finish having breakfast and taking a shower.
