15 days tour from Tangier to desert

DAY 1 : Arrival in Tangier – Rabat

At the port of Tanger, you will be welcomed by our teamwork. We will take care of driving you to Rabat city.

In the capital city of Morocco, Rabat,  you will be guided to visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. It is composed of the Moroccan king’s, Mohammed V,  tombs and his two sons ( The previous king Hassan II and Prince Abdallah).

At the Riad/hotel you will stay the night.

DAY 2: Rabat – Casablanca – El Jadida

After having breakfast at your accommodation, you will head to the economic city of Morocco.

In Casablanca, you will be able to visit Mohammed V Square and Mosque Hassan II ( 1929- 1999). King Hassan II ruled from 1969 until he died in 1999.  This mosque, which took 6 years to be built, is the largest mosque in Africa and the third in the world. It has the capacity to contain  25.000 worshippers. It covers 24,000 square. Besides being a place of worshipping, a culture center with a library, museum and a Koranic school are parts of the giant building, too.

We will continue the journey towards El Jadida ( located 100km south of Casablanca). El Jadida (where we will spend the night at the hotel) was a Portuguese fort in the 15th century.

DAY 3: El Jadida – Safi – Essaouira

After having a nice breakfast, the trip will be resumed to Asfi. Asfi is famous for its pottery, and fishing (one of the important source of living.

The next destination we will visit is Essaouira. This city is selected as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Your accommodation will be at the hotel/Riad. The city knew many civilizations. Essaouira is also known as “Jewel of the Atlantic”.

At your accommodation, you will have dinner (Hotel or Riad)

DAY 4: Essaouira – Marrakech

When you finish your breakfast, the next direction will be Marrakech. In your journey, you will travel through the amazing Argan trees and the beautiful countryside grass.

After your arrival, you will have lunch in Jamaa El Fna before you go to check in the Rial/Hotel.

DAY 5: Marrakech (Guided tour)

By one of our local guides, you will be accompanied on your day number three in Morocco. Your day’s plan will be showing you the beauty of Marrakech and its interesting monuments such as the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia mosque, and Schook Ben Youssef.

For the rest of the day, you will be free to walk through the valleys of the city and visit the interesting Souks.

You have the chance to try a Morrocan food since you will be able to have dinner out.

DAY 6: Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Traveling through the High Atlas Mountains, after having breakfast at the hotel, you will stop to visit the Berber visit of Telouet Kasbah.

In our journey, you will be exploring the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Many movies were shot in this Kasbah such as The Sheltering Sky, The Mummy, Gladiator, and Babel. It is considered as World Heritage by UNESCO.

At the Riad/hotel, you will enjoy your accommodation.

DAY 7: Ouarzazate – Fint – Ouarzazate

When you finish your breakfast, you will travel through the Draa Valley ( a fascinating oasis home to Berber villages and where the Draa River which is the largest river in Morocco- 1,100km) to Fint Oasis. This Oasis consists of four traditional villages. Fint Oasis, which is 10km south from Ouarzazate, has been a location for many  Hollywood films. After that, we will travel through the Draa Valley.

After having a nice lunch in the middle of the beautiful trees near to the water, you will return to have dinner at your accommodation in Ouarzazate.

DAY 8: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Kalaat M’gouna – Boumalne Dades

Our tour will continue, after having breakfast, to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. This huge Kasbah was home to a 19th-century palace. The views that the Kasbah of Tourit has over the rugged local landscape give it a special beauty.

You will also travel visit Skoura (one of Morocco’s beautiful oasis and it offers weary travelers a chance to rest their weary feet and enjoy the abundance of nature) travelling through the Valley of Roses. It is a small town is famous for roses. It is the center of rose production in Morocco that’s why you will smell the scents whilst you are approaching the city.  Later on, we will head to the Dades Valley where we will have dinner at the Riad/hotel.

DAY 9: Dades – Todra – Merzouga

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will explore the Dades Gorges.

  Dade gorges are series of rugged gorges lined along the Dades River in Morocco. The river originates in the High Atlas range of the Atlas mountains.

The next direction will be The Todgha Gorges (consist of a series of limestone river canyons). While they are there, most visitors enjoy hiking and passing by the nomad who comes down to the gorge to get water.

Continuing the tour, you will reach Merzouga. In this town, you stay at your accommodation (hotel) which in front of the sand dunes.

DAY 10: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

When you finish your breakfast, the tour will start over heading towards the Oasis of Merzouga.

Khamlia ( near the biggest dunes of Erg Chebbi) is one of the places that you will enjoy visiting. Exploring the area, you will visit Gnawa people and listen to their music. It is a famous style of music with a plentiful repertory of ancient African Islamic spiritual religious songs and rhythms. You will also have the chance to observe their lifestyle.

After having lunch at a local restaurant in Khamlia, one of the Berber nomads families will be pleased to have you and serve the well known Saharan mint tea to you.

Having a shower after you are back at your accommodation, you will ride the camels towards the Sahara desert and enjoy the sunset at the same time. When you arrive, you will spend the night in a Berber tent.

DAY 11: Merzouga – Erfoud – Ziz – Midelt

In the morning, you will wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After that, you will return to the tent to enjoy breakfast.

Heading to Rissani is what you will do next. Rissani one of The Alouite dynasty which still governs Morocco. You will notice that most people still wear an interesting traditional Saharan dress. Rissani is famous for its Souks (Traditional Souk).  Visiting the Souks will be an amazing experience.

You will also explore Erfoud, which known by its fossils, and Ziz Valley.

In Ziz valley, you can enjoy the wonderful gorges. You may love to take some photos of this valley. It is known of the palm groves and the variety of crops.

After reaching Midelt, you will spend the night at the hotel.

DAY 12: Midelt – Azrou – Fes

The destination will be Cedars Forest, after having breakfast.

Cedar Forest is a woodland area in the Middle Atlas Mountain. Cèdre Gouraud Forest is located between Azrou and Ifrane. In this place, you will be able to see trees climbed by the Berber apes.

Before reaching Fez, you will travel through Ifrane. It is known by its special clean and green environment Ifrane is also called “Switzerland of Morocco”.

In Fez, you will spend the night at the Riad/hotel.

DAY 12: Midelt – Azrou – Fes

The destination will be Cedars Forest, after having breakfast.

Cedar Forest is a woodland area in the Middle Atlas Mountain. Cèdre Gouraud Forest is located between Azrou and Ifrane. In this place, you will be able to see trees climbed by the Berber apes.

Before reaching Fez, you will travel through Ifrane. It is known by its special clean and green environment Ifrane is also called “Switzerland of Morocco”.

In Fez, you will spend the night at the Riad/hotel.

DAY 13: Fes (Guided tour)

Accompanied by a local guide, you will be exploring Fez El Bali ( the old Medina).

Fez El Bali was founded (789-808 AD) in the Idrisid’s epoch. Enjoying the panoramic views of Fez and its valleys, and Souks will be amazing.

Visiting the Royal Palace will be part of the plan. The Royal, which contains seven gates, is considered an astonishing model of modern restoration.

Dinner will be at your accommodation.

DAY 14: Fes – Ouazane- Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen, which is called the blue city, will be our direction after having breakfast. In your way, you can enjoy the scenic views, and the small villages located in the beautiful Rif Mountains.

In Chefchaouen, you will enjoy a tour in the blue city after checking in the hotel (where you will spend the night).

DAY 15: Chefchaouen – Tangier

On this day, you will be driven towards Tangier. We will drop you at the port or the airport before your departure.
