Desert tour 3 Days from Fes to Marrakech

DAY 1 : Fez – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Your tour begins in Fez after the warm welcoming at the airport and drives you towards the hotel/Riad. Leaving Fez, you will to Ifrane city. Switzerland of Morocco, as Ifran is called, known for its special,  clean and green environment.

During your journey, you will stop In Cedre Gouraud Forest which is located between Azrou and Ifrane. In this place, you will be able to see trees climbed by the Berber apes and landscape.

The Middle Atlas will be in our way, too, before we reach Midelt. In Midelt, you will have lunch at a local restaurant. After resuming our trip, we will stop once again in Ziz Valley.

In Ziz valley where you will enjoy the wonderful gorges (the volcanic rocks contributed in carving them out), you may love to take some photos of this valley which famous of the palm groves, and the variety of crops.

After arriving at Merzouga, you will have around 20 minutes to pack whatever is required to camp for one night in the Sahara desert

DAY 2: Merzouga – Todra Canyon – Dadès Canyon

In the early morning, you’ll enjoy the sunrise and have breakfast. Returning to the hotel on the camel’s back will be your next step.

Our following destination will be Todra Gorge (are series of limestone river canyons) where you can enjoy hiking and passing by the nomad who comes down to the gorge to get water. Rissani will be also programmed to visit. Rissani is a town in Errachidia Province. It is located near Erfoud. Visiting the Souks will be an amazing experience while you are in Rissani. In the Souks (traditional markets), you will observe clothing, furniture, dishes, local food, etc. Interesting, dynamic and full of life.

The Dades Valley is where lunch will be served.

The Dade Gorge is a series of rugged wadi gorges carved out by the Dades River. The river originates in the High Atlas. The majestic sand castles and monkey toes (a fascinating rock formation) in Dades valley are a point of attraction for tourists.

In the desert under a sky of endless stars, we will spend the night camp.

DAY 3: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

The Valley of Roses is one of the places that we will visit on the third day of your tour. Kalaat Mgouna (The Valley of Roses ) is mostly known by :

⦁    the amazing sand Kasbahs of which you may want to take some beautiful pictures.

⦁    The production of rosewater. Its good smell lasts for many days after you splash a little over you. There is a factory specialized in that.

To continue the trip, you will visit the Kasbah of Ben Haddou. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was built in the 18th century, composed of kasbahs (forts). You can explore the lanes where traders once brought their gold, ivory, salt, and slaves on the journey from Sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakech and beyond.

Next, we will take a short while to rest in Ouarzazate after visiting the Museum of Cinema.

When you arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi Dunes, you will travel by camelback through the sands of the Sahara guided by a professional man.

After a 1.5-hour camel riding tour deep into the sand dunes, you will end with having a nice dinner under the desert sky while gazing at endless stars. Desert camp includes breakfast, too.
